Waiting for Sunshine

Good Morning everyone. Another rainy morning but I can hear the birds out in the back as they prepare their nests and there is the sweet smell of spring outside so with no plans and no deadlines for the day I just thought I would wish all of you a happy sun filled day.
"God determines who walks into your life....
But it's up to you to decide who you let walk away,
who you let stay,
and who you refuse to let go....
THANKS FOR BEING IN MY LIFE!

To my friends who check the blog...

Just bringing this site up to date so those other than the family can see that besides two adorable little boys that we have been spending time with, we will now go to New Hampshire to see two more. We are so excited because so far we have only seen Scott via pictures. I cannot wait to see and hold him. Is this not the cutest little guy? And Callie has beautiful big blue eyes and a smile that lights up the world. Talk about counting blessings...Grandmas and great grandmas have the best of all worlds.

Well it's raining again today and they promised sunshine and at least 57 degrees. I just read Katie and Jareds blog and they are enjoying wonderful spring weather...hope they save some for us.

Truly Blessed to live in America

Today has made me think deeply on the blessing of living in America. We just returned from a great performance at WSU by the Institute of Religion. It was entitled "This is a Great Country". The spirit of patriotism incorporated with the spiritual left all of us with a renewed acknowledgement of our many blessings. Then to top it all off I received an email from Mike with this picture and message:
"Remember the little boy we met in Africa when we were there on the medical mission in January. This little boy was brought in for dental care, and it was clear he had much bigger issues that needed help. The team were able to bring the boy, named "Boi" (pronounced Boo-waa) to the U.S. to do surgery. In a touching story, the boy's father related how the donations of the American team have changed their life. In order to help out, his African community generously raised a total of $15 for their expenses....which was actually a large sum of money for the country that reports that good wage earners make about $300 per year. Mali is the second poorest country in the world. A few more surgeries and Boi will be running in the dirt streets of his African home with a smile on his face" And now if I could just figure out how to put his picture right side up that would be a miracle....but since I cannot I am just going to hit the publish post site and go get some more chocolate. Have a wonderful Sunday and a great week. Aren't you glad you live in this amazing country??

Stress is trying to post a picture

Ok here I go again. I am loaded up on Chocolate and considering adding a Pepsi if this does not work this time.
Oh my heck it worked. Now I would crop it but I cannot figure that one out. KC and Garrett got along like the best of pals.

HAPPINESS IS FAMILY

Happiness is family! April 12, 2008Talk about "Smiles" and you have it all rolled into one little bundle by the name of Garrett. What a delightful time we had when Katie and Garrett came to visit. The whole family made it over before the visit ended. The only thing that could have made it better is if Jared had been here instead of back in NY working on the cars. Even the sun decided to shine, and today it continues to shine so it must have something to do with them coming to put an end to winter weather.Whitney came and took so many pictures of Garrett and we are anxiously awaiting a copy of the disk so we can view them. Along with at least another 50 or so we should have a lovely memory of the last couple of days. I have some cute ones of Garrett and KC playing tug of war with a toy bone. I really think Jared should consider getting a family pet and it should be a dog because a boy needs a dog instead of a black cat. Whitney would take exception to that because like Jared she thinks cats are the best when it comes to pets.I discovered there is no need to buy toys for my great grand children because this week I realized they would much prefer i-pods, cell phones and any other type of small electronic device that I cannot possibly understand. Garrett was pushing the buttons on every one he could get his hands on. He especially liked Tylers tiny combination computer, phone, ipod etc.
