Oh My Gosh Is That What We Look Like??

Today we went to the exhibit "BodyWorlds" what a fascinating couple of hours. Body Worlds features authentic human specimans preserved through a process called Plastination, which preserves the human tissue in its natural state as you see below the skins surfce. Muscles, tissues, organs, brain, nerves, bones, etc. Wow it was really informative. I was amazed to learn that over 8000 people have agreed to donate their bodies for Plastination. Viewing the human body this way is another lesson in the reality of God and gratitude for the marvelous creation of the human body.

After the exhibit we went to the new library and it was totally amazing. I can't wait to go back and spend more time there. It would take hours just to do a complete tour. Even from the outside it is magnificant. We took the glass elevator to the very top where there are beautiful gardens and the view of the city and surrounding mountains was breathtaking. (the picture of the library is the 2nd one, the shot is taken inside this beautiful building.) Then we were off to the Spagetti Factory at Trolly Square. All in all a totally delightful day.

Oh and guess what? Bert has now graduated from Puppy Class and is scheduled for Clicker Training - - whatever that is...

On Wednesday Connie and I took our Primary Activity Girls to Dinasour Park and the museum. It was a great day and we all enjoyed it. The Museum was really interesting so when you come to visit we should really go there.

New Editor today!

Just wanted you to know Bert had his first introduction to water training this weekend. In between training, he entertained the kids in "Fetch" and "See if you can get the Badmitton Birdie from me?" After today I decided he is part Otter, part kid toy. Search dog maybe....crowd pleaser definitely. I learned a hard lesson today...It is not a good idea to slather yourself in sun tan lotion and forget about your feet. Of course I had my shoes and socks off! Oh yes, I am paying dearly for that now, I have very tender sunburned feet that are now sporting blisters.

Of course, you will shed a tear or two for me!

Quite a Day!

Bonnie Taylors mother was buried today. What a beautiful time of remembrance for a lovely lady. Bonnie has spent the last week in Hawaii, along with her brothers and sisters. She said it was really a blessing that they were able to be with their parents during this time of sorrow. Our love goes out to Bonnie and her family.

Later this evening I went to hear Skyeler and Whitney perform. They are really talented and it was alot of fun. Skyeler played his guitar, the drums, and sang. I haven't heard him for quite awhile and I was very impressed. Whitney and Mandy sang and they were great. Fun evening.

I love hearing my talented grandkids. Ben played the piano at the funeral and then more music by Skyeler and Whitney made the day a little less sad.

OH TO BE YOUNG AGAIN!

Sitting on a swing, taking a walk, throwing sticks in the water for Bert to retrive, checking out old log cabins or playing indian in a teepe is alot more fun with grand children and great grand children. The proof is in the pictures. We had a marvelous day. Wish all of you could have shared in the fun.

I have heard it said, "Age doesn't matter unless your cheese." Well let me tell you that is not completely true. It matters alot when you try to get in the small opening of a tepee, so you can do an indian dance with them, and fall out before you get completely in. Oh yes, Vickie took a picture of that also but it will not go on this post, or any other post. The falling down was easy compared to getting up!

But nothing is as difficult as getting the pictures to go in the right place, maybe next month.
