Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying the summer as much as I am. The last week has been really busy. For starters there is of course the daily walk with KC, he runs around like crazy chasing butterflies and anything that moves while I try to find a place to sit because I know we are not going anywhere as long as he can spot something to chase.
The Tabernacle Choir and the Orchestra at Temple Square performed at the Dee Events Center and it was totally wonderful. A packed house and what a performance. It was great being so close and watching the young couple signing for those sitting on the front rows. It was beauty in action, with the sound of the music lending to the artistry of the signing. They performed as part of the 75th anniversary of Ogden Pioneer Days as well as celebration of the choirs 80th year of broadcasting each Sunday. No wonder they are known as the Nations Choir..or is it the World's Choir?
Lots of fun downtown with two different old car shows, a shootout on 25th street, Farmers Market opening day with lots of fun, including the Children's Parade. And of course even more of those painted ponies than they had last year. A big celebration at the Egyptian Theatre marking the 85th year since it was first open. The final big Parade will be on the 24th..Of course there is the Rodeo but I think I will pass on that.
The greeting...And that is not all: Corbon arrived, and he brought Jason and Taya along for the ride. KC was greeted with hugs and possible a little more attention than he was used to. I think KC remembered a couple of weeks ago when Garrett was here and realized that he would have to be extra patient because he played along with just about everything that Corbon wanted to do.

As Corbon was taking KC for a walk he was just chatting away and giving orders to KC every time he would stop to check something out. Corbon was pretty determined that a dog should mind.If I can figure out how to send a video I must forward the one of him talking as he pushes KC in the stroller.
We had a great time at the fireworks visiting with Bonnie Taylor and her brothers and sisters family along with Ben, Becky, and Kodie. We decided to stay by the old hospital because it was raining and blowing so we missed seeing the King clan. Becky, Kodie, Ben and Justin continued on and from the pictures they were sitting pretty close to blast off. Be sure to check out Whitney's facebook for the video of the finale...great video from a great photographer....
All in all it has been a great week and I am so grateful that Jason, Taya and Corbon were able to join us. Hopefully one year everyone can be here at the same time, I would love that.
